Datum: 7-04-2013    From Roggebot Harbour to Volendam
Sunday 7/4/2013 we sail away at 9 in the mist from the Roggebothaven. In this friendly town we harboured the boat for 2 years, but because the distance from the harbour to home, in Alphen aan de Rijn is too big, we want something closer to home.

It’s pretty cold for this time of year, a layer of ice has formed on the boat and because of this layer we can’t see through the windows of the sprayhood. The temperature in the boat is no more than 4 degrees Celsius all morning.
An advantage is, that there is almost nobody on the water, nice and quiet and we sail without delay through the Ketelbrug ( in scaffolding) and later on through the Houtriblocks in Lelystad.

Because of AIS we can see exactly when we are leaving Lelystad, www.marinetraffic.com send us an e-mail automatically when we leave the harbour:
DEPARTURE of ship: PEGASUS
Port: LELYSTAD HAVEN
Time: Apr 7 2013 11:32AM (UTC)

(Time of arrival/departure is the time the vessel approaches the entrance/exit of the port respectively)
See the current position of the vessel "PEGASUS" if it is within the range of the system...

The crossover from Lelystad to Volendam is the warmest stretch this Sunday. The sun shines and the temperature with wind-chill is 15 degrees. The brown fleet also find this a beautiful day; at Volendam it is quite a buzz with more than 20 old sailing vessels.
According to AIS we arrived at Volendam at half past three this afternoon.  Let’s hope that Schokker www.zeilmakerijschokker.nl can construct this stormsail.
