| | The marina
The showers were nice warm in the first week, but after that it changed daily. One day it was hot to even very hot and the other day cold again. A number of times I have mentioned this at the marina office, but without a result. But what do I really care about? In the future we are going to places where there is no water or hot water at all. Yet, now that it is possible and it does not work, this is a point of annoyance. Certainly because you pay too much for this facility.
Maintenance boat
Mark we see regularly with us or with him on board. He can dive well and has professional diving equipment on board. One day he is busy at Peter's boat to check the bottom of the boat for any damage and to replace the anode. That also seems to be a good idea.
He dives the first time to check everything and the second time to get started. He finds that the anode is still good. The bottom of the boat is due to the antifouling Intersleek Pro van International Paintvery good and easy to clean. But the piece at the bow thruster, the tunnel of the bow thruster and the outside of the hole, which looks like a mussel bench according to Mark. While removing all the mussels, dozens of small fish swim around him. Free meal! When the bow thruster was placed we could not get this antifouling and now it is clearly visible what the difference is between the & ordinary ” and the Intersleek antifouling. In 2008, it was first set up and in May 2013 again 2 additional layers. Thanks to Dennis Tuijnman, salesmanager retail market at International Paint, which made it possible then (see also blog of May 10, 2013). We are very happy that after so many years it looks so. We thank Mark for his commitment and hope he will cross our path more often in the near future. Not only cozy but always useful to know a good diver!
Kit
Our poor kit, which is so shocked by his swim adventure that he still has not been off board. It's been a few weeks ago. Sometimes he seems to be stunned by staring at the open track in the railing. But get off? No, it is not! He also scares some more loud sounds and is very affectionate. We hope he did not have any trauma about it. Otherwise, we should still look for a cat psychologist.
Other
Occasionally we go out to dinner and often take some tapas and a bottle of wine (or more). But before the change we are going to eat in the Marina at the Marina, an Asian restaurant including Chinese and Japanese dishes. We ate little Japanese appetizers and as main course roast duck. Delicious food! I also went on with my hook project for my granddaughter Bobby. The result I only see when it's completely finished. Fred has some time to program and we have done our taxes.
